At Greensboro Health Care Credit Union, we believe that trust is one of the greatest rewards of a good relationship, and we are committed to the privacy and safekeeping of our member’s non-public personal financial information consistent with state and federal laws. It is the policy of Greensboro Health Care Credit Union (GHCCU) to take careful and reasonable measures to protect the accuracy and privacy of all member information used in conducting business. GHCCU will not collect or maintain information about its members that is not essential for prudent business purposes.
It is the responsibility of all officers, directors, committee members and employees to protect the confidential member information, and we are committed to hold in confidence all Credit Union transactions with members and all information in regards to members personal business. Also, it is our responsibility to identify any potential area of exposure and to take steps to report such discovery and to assist in correcting the condition that could permit any potential security breach.

It is our policy to prohibit disclosure of member information to third parties (excluding Credit Union affiliates) concerning accounts with us except:

GHCCU does not sell or will not sell or provide non-public personal information to third parties for independent use. We may share non-public personal information with our Credit Union affiliates for legitimate business purposes, as allowed by federal law, with whom it has a contractual relationship to provide a product or service such as insurance services or credit cards.
Protection of Personal Information
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your non-public personal information. Protecting member privacy is an ongoing process and GHCCU will continue to review the measures taken to safeguard member information. If member information is shared with affiliates, all contracts and agreements will include a guarantee that the affiliate will safeguard such information.

GHCCU does not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of third parties or non-affiliates. GHCCU’s director and Board of Directors may authorize exceptions to this policy.
